Celebrate a special Valentine's Day by giving husbands gifts that are useful and appreciated.

When buying for a husband, it can be a challenge to find a new gift idea for Valentine’s Day. But some of the old standards can work very well if it has been a few years since these gifts have been given.

Leather Gloves

Leather gloves can make a nice gift for husbands. Whether they are fleece lined for warmth or driving gloves for style, there are many choices to fit different lifestyles. Although gloves can be a common gift among dating couples, they are useful no matter what age or stage of the relationship. Leather gloves also wear out over time so it may be time to upgrade a pair that is fading fast. Since Valentine’s Day is in February, gloves can make a thoughtful gift for this holiday.

Wallets

Wallets are another popular gift among dating couples that can make a nice gift for husbands. Like gloves, wallets wear out over time, so even wives who have used wallets as Valentine’s Day gifts in the past may be able to use this option. Check the condition of the current wallet before buying a new one. Also make sure to note whether the man prefers a bi-fold or tri-fold wallet.

Dress Watches

A new watch can make a nice Valentine’s Day gift for a husband who is ready to upgrade to a nicer model or who doesn’t have a dress watch. It’s important not to try to replace an everyday watch if it is functional and comfortable unless the man has specifically said he would like a new everyday watch. A dress watch, on the other hand, can be worn on special occasions and doesn’t have to be a replacement for an old favorite.

Men’s Cologne

A gift of cologne for a Valentine’s Day can show a husband that his wife still notices how he takes care of himself. If it’s been a while since he has received cologne, he might like a new bottle of his old favorite. If the husband is more adventuresome, he might like to try a new cologne like Unscripted by Patrick Dempsey. Trying a new cologne can be a nice change of pace, but avoid buying the whole gift set for Valentine’s Day unless the man likes all the other products in the set. If he likes the new cologne, a gift set is a natural choice for another holiday like Father’s Day or a birthday.

Treating a husband to a nice gift on Valentine’s Day is a great way to express love and appreciation. Traditional and useful gifts can be a great choice for husbands on Valentine’s Day. For those who prefer not to purchase gifts, consider sharing an experience or giving a homemade card.
